Crystal clear water, lush mountain meadows, fresh mountain air and an incomparable panorama offer optimal training conditions and give the players fresh energy. Of course, not only do holidays, but also train hard for the season!
The park stadium in Zell am Ziller offers ideal conditions and the 55 3000-metre peaks provide the right framework conditions. As in previous years, the fans were able to look closely at the professionals' feet from the stands and follow the training at close quarters. The public training took place twice a day - new fighting techniques as well as skills and endurance were trained.
A great fan programme was also organised outside the training sessions. The highlights of the fan trip were the welcome with Managing Director Anne-Kathrin Laufmann, the fan hike to the Arbiskogel on the Gerlosstein, a coach talk and the Werder Games with a players' meeting.
The fixed point of the training camp are always the test matches: SV Werder Bremen won 5:2 against the French first division team FC Toulouse in the test match on 22 July. The final score at the lightning tournament on 28 July in Innsbruck against RB Leipzig was 0-0 and against the British football club Ipswich Town 1-1.
The Werder football school was also on site again and 45 football-mad kids were able to train like the professionals.
