Zillertal including Zillertal Arena, is officially a partner of the Epic Pass – an international ski pass network based in the USA. This positions the two famous resorts with over 120 miles of perfectly groomed slopes among a select group of world-renowned ski resorts, offering winter sports enthusiasts unique experiences all over the globe.

With the Epic Pass, winter sports enthusiasts now have access to over 80 ski resorts in North America, Europe, Australia, and Japan – and, starting now, also in the Zillertal ski areas.

Information about piste markings

Your safety is our top priority. Please always follow the signs in the ski area. Especially, we would like to draw your attention to some differences in slope markings between North America and Austria.

Rescue and transportation to a valley station in the Zillertal Arena by the piste rescue service is free of charge. Helicopter rescue and red cross transportation ist not included. Those are subject to a charge.

SECURED AND CONTROLLED SLOPES

All official and secured pistes are marked with a pole on each side. Ski routes are only marked with one pole – stay ten meters left or right of the poles. When you leave a marked piste or ski route, you are in the open ski area. This area is neither marked or groomed, not controlled and not secured. As only the open and marked pistes are controlled* by the piste patrol and the piste rescue service, skiers and snowboarders who leave the marked pistes must be aware that they do so at their own risk. Be warned that you are entering a dangerous area where there may be rocks, treacherous slopes, etc.

You can get your ticket on presentation of a valid Epic Pass directly at all open cable car cash desks in the Zillertal ski areas. Please bring your pass card or mobile pass in the My Epic app (plus picture ID) to present at the cash desks and you will receive the local keycard for access to the resorts. Please note: there is a refundable deposit of € 2,00 for the keycard!

A proper winter holiday in Tirol also includes a hearty tobogganing trip with a stop at a mountain hut! The longest toboggan run in Zillertal is also very sporty.
