Hotel Matthäuserhof At the hotel Matthäuserhof in Gerlos in the Zillertal valley your well-being is our top priority. True to our motto "Feel good on arrival", we make sure that you and your entire family feel at home from the first moment you are with us. Our comfortable hotel is located in the centre of Gerlos and yet is perfectly quiet and peaceful. Surrounded by several Tyrolean mountain farms, our Hotel Matthäuserhof is on a small rise on the sunny side of Gerlos. Very quiet yet at the same time central, free from traffic noise and absolutely safe for children. The Hotel Matthäuserhof combines contemporary comfort with the charm of a traditional Tyrolean farmhouse. We have apartments available as well as hotel rooms. In 2012 we extended our house to provide additional apartments and a spacious spa area. The rooms at Matthäuserhof are very bright, airy and comfortably furnished, and have a balcony, shower/WC and free Wifi. Rates include our sumptuous breakfast buffet, in which we attach great importance to regional and organic products sourced in part from our own farm. Our apartments are ideal for 2-6 persons and all have separate bedrooms and living rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a bath / WC and an extra toilet. A very special feature of our hotel is the newly opened Spa. It is not, as is usually the case, installed in the basement, but is located on the first floor, with a private balcony and an adjoining open-air area, accessible all year round. The spa includes two saunas, an aroma steam bath and a nice quiet room where you can relax. Delicious refreshments are available at the spa juice bar. The Hotel Matthäuserhof offers many amenities, including a lift as well as particularly child-friendly facilities, such as a children's playroom, a playground, table football, table tennis and a large lawn where kids enjoy nature. In the summer, Gerlos invites you to enjoy hiking, mountain biking, climbing and swimming in the lake. For children, Gerlos also provides the free holiday program "Family Nest", which offers a wide range of activities. In winter you can strap on your skis right outside the front door and ski the 200m to the ski bus which takes you directly to the Zillertal Arena. Coming home is even less complicated: the snow-covered descent brings you right back to our front door! As a child-friendly family run-operation, it is particularly important to us that both young and old alike can enjoy a wonderful holiday in the Zillertal Valley. We look forward to your visit!
