The Hotel Garni Birkenheim is situated on the edge of the town center of Gerlos in the Zillertal valley. Gerlos is at 1.250m and thus one level higher than the neighboring towns of Mayrhofen and Zell am Ziller. Our hotel Birkenheim is an ideal starting point for all activities in the Zillertal Arena - the largest ski and hiking area of the Zillertal. Nearby you will find the Gerlos pass with the ski and hiking areas of Gerlosplatte, Königsleiten and Hochkrimml. The Isskogel Valley Station is located only 200 meters from our B & B Birkenheim. In winter the valley ski run ends close to our hotel. Our hotel offers pleasant and comfortable accommodation for the most beautiful days of the year. We are a non smoking hotel. Local souvenirs are available in our small supermarket, along with beverages, spirits and magazines. A car park is available for our guests. The ski bus stops in front of the house next door. The rooms of our Bed & Breakfast Birkenheim are comfortably furnished in the Tyrolean style, with private bath or shower, WC, safe and LCD TV. Most rooms have a balcony. You can choose from three categories of full equipped rooms. Your day starts with an ample breakfast buffet in the breakfast room. You can spend the rest of the day either actively or quietly and relaxed, as you wish. In summer and winter, the Zillertal Arena offers an attractive range of sporting activities. In summer, Gerlos is ideal for hikers, mountain bikers and outdoor enthusiasts. You can begin your hike right at our Hotel Garni. We are a member of "Berg Aktiv" and "Active Wellness", with attractive leisure activities for our guests. After an exciting walking tour you can relax on our sun terrace. In winter, the Zillertal Arena is the largest ski area in the Zillertal Valley, with 143 km of diverse pistes for skiers and snowboarders. For cross-country skiers and hikers there are also countless opportunities to explore nature - according to our motto: "mind, body and soul" in the beautiful mountains of the Zillertal Alps. After an active day outside in the Zillertal Alps, enjoy the wellness area of our hotel with sauna, relaxation room, solarium and infrared cabin.
