The magic of autumn is something very special. Framed by the autumnal mountain peaks of the Zillertal, everyone can listen to the traditional and modern sounds of the music at the participating huts - add to this a few Tyrolean delicacies and your hiking & biking heart will beat faster!

Cattle drive Zell und Gerlos

Cattle drive Zell und Gerlos

The cattle drive is the highlight of the farming season in the Zillertal. On Saturday, 23 September, the festival is celebrated in the villages of Zell and Gerlos. Start in Gerlos at 9.00 am, start in Zell at 10.00 am.

Regional delicacies and handmade products will be exhibited by local farmers and producers on Wednesday in Zell am Ziller and on Thursday in Gerlos.
Melcherball in Gerlos

Melcherball in Gerlos

The Milkerball in Gerlos is already an institution and traditionally takes place on the Thursday 21st September before the Almabtrieb in Luigi's Turbo Bar. The highlight is the handing over of the bells to the farmers, who drive their cattle, colourfully decorated, from the alpine pasture to the home barn on Saturday.

The federal music bands of the region show their best musical skills at the weekly open air concerts. The Bundesmusikkapelle Gerlos invites you to its traditional final concert on Wednesday, 20 September and the Bundesmusikkapelle Zell on Friday, 22 September.
