The ski season starts on 5th December 2025 with all connecting lifts from Zell am Ziller to Hochkrimml. In Zell, the Karspitzbahn will open on 5th December and the Rosenalmbahn is expected to open on 12th December due to modernisation work!
Gerlosstein toboggan run
A proper winter holiday in Tirol has to include some serious tobogganing with a break at a mountain hut. And sporting enthusiasts can check out the longest toboggan run in Zillertal. The trip up with the Gerlossteinbahn cable car to the start at an altitude of 1,650 m is comfortable and fast – and you’re ready to whizz down the 7 km toboggan run. The toboggan run is floodlit, so you can also pop in to one of the cosy rustic inns.

Tip for all tobogganers
Especially for our toboggan guests we offer a free transport to the Gerlossteinbahn. This is only valid for line 4094 and during the daytime operating hours of the Gerlossteinbahn and can be used by all guests with winter equipment or the toboggan voucher. Guests receive the voucher upon presentation of the Zell-Gerlos TopCard (guest card) at our tourist office in Zell or Gerlos.
Toboggan hire
Three toboggan hire outlets are located right by the Gerlossteinbahn bottom station. The toboggans can be returned until 1:00 a.m.
