Tandem flights around Königsleiten - a very special experience!

Tandem paragliding in Wald/Königsleiten in wintertime

Königsleiten is one of the most beautiful ski resorts in the Alps for tandem paragliding in winter. As a skier, you can easily take off on skis here with a tandem pilot and also enjoy a great landing on skis. The altitude difference between Königsleitenspitze (2315m) and Gerlos (1250m) is more than 1000m, which makes for a great long flight (10-15 minutes) even in the depths of winter. The landing site at the valley stations of the Plattenkogel Xpress and Sonnwendkopfbahn (1470m) is also great. From February-March there are regular thermals and you can fly for 15-20 minutes. Accompanying persons can follow and film the flight on skis. It is often possible to fly all the way down to the landing site on the meadow between Wald and Krimml (950m). Tandem paragliding in Wald/Königsleiten in summertime

It is exhilaratingly beautiful in summer to take the Dorfbahn from Königsleiten up to the Gipfeltreffen restaurant, from where it is a 15-minute walk up to the Königsleitenspitze (2315m) to take off with your tandem paragliding pilot. You will soon be soaring through the air and there are almost always thermals, making longer flights possible. In principle, you're going up rather than down! You feel as free as an eagle and the pilot is happy to hand over the steering lines and instruct you on how to fly. Finally we will take you back down again, when desired we can do it as a wild but safe "rollercoaster ride". We can land in the middle of Königsleiten or extend the circuit towards the Krimml Waterfalls and then land down near Wald im Pinzgau.
