First, you cross the street and follow the path up to the Hotel Almhof. Continue along the one-lane road that leads past the Hotel Almhof until the junction towards 'Seemeile'. The descent to the dam requires some caution, so good footwear is recommended. After a short tunnel section, the return route runs along the picturesque shore of the Gmünd reservoir. Once you reach the Hotel Kröller, you continue the hike along the Gerlosbach and return back to Gerlos.
