Urtümliche Sulzbachtäler und Schaubergwerk Hochfeld

Together we will hike with snowshoes from the valley entrance to the Knappenstube, where we can warm up a bit and strengthen ourselves with our own tea and a small snack before exploring the front area of the Hochfeld show mine.
Equipped with protective clothing and helmets, we will enter the "Hieronymus-Erbstollen". The ranger will tell us about the life of former miners and mining.
Meeting point: 10:00 AM - Gasthof Schütthof in Neukirchen / Return: Approximately 4:00 PM
Cost: free with guest card, otherwise € 22.00
Period: January 1 to April 2, 2026, special date, Tuesday, December 23

Requirements: moderately difficult snowshoe hike or winter hike,
that requires more stamina or goes through steeper terrain.

Equipment: sturdy, ankle-high footwear (preferably hiking boots); warm socks, ski poles, warm clothing (including hat and gloves), sun protection, alpine backpack with warm drinks and snacks.

Included: Rental of snowshoes, rental of ski poles (please indicate when reserving).
