Description

a nice running route around Krimml

The circular route starts at the WaterWorlds in Krimml. Along the way, you pass some famous buildings such as the old customs houses or the birthplace of the Salzburg freedom fighter Anton Wallner, as well as several very old farmhouses. At the Panoramahotel Burgeck, the sunny terrace attracts you with a view of the natural spectacle of the Krimml Waterfalls. The path then continues over the Heimkehrer Cross towards Falkenstein. Here you walk through the forest and come via the district of Schlossberg to Krimml train station. A short section runs along the federal highway before you cross the Krimmler Ache at the Bräuer Bridge and thus reach the Achenwald path. This almost always runs along the Krimmler Ache up to the largest waterfalls in Europe.

ATTENTION - due to construction work, a diversion is signposted for the Panoramahotel Burgeck area!

(Anton Wallner Birthplace - towards Melchartbauer - short section uphill - junction into the existing panoramic path towards Heimkehrer Cross)
