Description

Easy hike for the whole family in a magical winter landscape.
The adventure mountain Gerlosstein invites you to hike not only in summer: On the themed trail "Almpromenade" you can also learn everything worth knowing about Zillertal history and culture in winter at the lovingly designed wayside shrines. Starting point of the approx. 1-hour hike is the mountain station of the Gerlossteinbahn at 1,700 m above sea level. The first part you walk along the toboggan run before you cross the ski slope for the first time after the Gerlosstein inn. Then follow the well-signposted winter hiking trail until you reach the Zillertaler Almtribühne after a slight, short climb. From there you have a wonderful view of the Zillertal mountains. Return to the starting point along the same path.
