Rohrberg

It consists of the Rohr, Haslach, Hochfeld parts of town and the scattered developments on the western slope of the Karspitze. The main municipality is based in the valley in the small village of Rohr, about 1.5 km northeast of Zell am Ziller. Ecclesiastically, the municipality of Rohrberg belongs to Zell parish. The mine’s former administration building, known as the Gallerhaus, was purchased by the chamber singer Felix Kraus from Munich and converted into a villa. The beautifully designed Kraus Promenade is also named after the great artist.

Rohrberg is characterised by the Zillertal Arena, which is partly located on its municipal territory and can be reached by the Karspitzbahn. In winter a popular skiing area with a large selection of slopes, in summer it is the centre of a wide network of charming hiking trails in the Zillertal mountains.
