Big cattle drive festival in Zell am Ziller

For centuries, the Almabtrieb in the Alps has been one of the most important dates in the farming calendar! The whole village celebrates when the cows decorated with hand-tied bouquets, ribbons, garlands, and holy pictures make their way back to their home stables.
From about 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the town center of Zell is filled with wonderful atmosphere thanks to a varied supporting program and musical entertainment.
