In 2018, at just 23 years old, Maximilian took over the business from his parents. In 2022, Johanna energetically joined in. With great passion and a big heart for lived tradition, they together run the cozy Dörflwirt in Hainzenberg.
Since 2023, little Mathilda enriches the family. We are deeply rooted in our homeland, the Zillertal, are grateful to live here, and strive to show our guests as much as possible of this beautiful piece of earth. Whether in the kitchen or during a joint “Huågacht”: With us, you will feel that we love our home.
Tradition & Passion
Already in the 3rd generation, the family-run Dörflwirt is a place for gourmets and nature lovers. You will usually find Maximilian in the kitchen, following his passion: Cooking! Local dishes, reinterpreted, are his specialty.
The best game from local hunting, creatively prepared, fresh from the forest and regional – that is important to him. We work closely with farmers and producers from the area to ensure you always find the best ingredients on your plate.

After dinner, Maximilian loves to stop by, sharing the best tips from the kitchen or chatting with you about the most beautiful excursion destinations in the Zillertal.
