Description

Beautiful mountain tour on the Kreuzjoch with a wonderful pnoramic view of the impressive mountain range.
With the Rosenalmbahn you reach the starting point of the more demanding mountain tour. At the crossroads turn right and follow the slightly uphill hiking trail no. 10. At the fork, turn left on the goods road to the Legalalm (1,905 m). With a refreshment snack you can enjoy the fantastic view of the surrounding Zillertal Alps
enjoy or snack in the mountain stream. Then follow the goods road further down the valley to Kreuzjoch Alm (2,100 m). Shortly before the top station of the Hanser X-PRESS (2,246 m), you come to the left on the hiking trail that crosses the ridge of the mountain. After crossing the ski slope, you will come back to a hiking trail that leads along the ridge of the Transitional Joch to the summit of Kreuzjoch (2,558 m). From the Transition Joch (2,500 m) you walk on very rocky terrain. Safety on foot and freedom from vertigo are a prerequisite for the easy ridge hike of the last 20 minutes up to Kreuzjoch (2,558 m).
