What could be better than exploring the unique and magnificent mountains of Zillertal and Pinzgau on foot? Pack a hearty snack in your rucksack and put on your hiking boots: there are 400 km of hiking trails to explore. The Arena’s mountain summer offers, for example, the 5 side valleys of Gerlos – leisurely alpine hikes included and suitable for children of all ages. In Zell am Ziller, hikes around the Kreuzjoch area and in the Gerlosstein area on the Hainzenberg are particularly attractive.

Description

Speichersee - Söggenaste - Kristallhütte
From the car park at the reservoir, follow the road downhill for approx. 400 m. There is the entrance (yellow sign) to the Almrosen-Panorama Hike. After a slight climb through the forest in the direction of Kirstallexpress, from there it goes over a mountain pasture in the direction of Söggenaste. From here you need about 50 minutes to the Kristallhütte.

A very beautiful hike with well-maintained paths and wonderful views of the rear Zillertal and all 3000m mountains.

Almpromenade Gerlosstein

You can enjoy spectacular nature during a gentle walk along the Almpromenade and also discover many interesting things on the way to the Zillertal Almtribüne viewing platform.
