The hiking trail starts at parking lot 4 near the WasserWelten Krimml. Along the path lies the birthplace of the freedom fighter Anton Wallner and a farmhouse from the year 1577. Upon reaching the Panoramahotel Burgeck, a hot drink awaits with a view of the frozen Krimml waterfalls. Revitalized, the route continues on to the Heimkehrerkreuz.
