Hiking along the sunny side of Krimml, Wald, Neukirchen to Bramberg/Mühlbach - past lush meadows and forests! Views of the Hohe Tauern are constant companions along the way.
Starting from Krimml via the Panorama or Sonnenweg path, with impressive views of the largest waterfalls in Europe, go over Falkenstein to Vorderkrimml. There we cross the Salzach (the main river of the Salzburg region) and follow the path steeply upwards towards Furtlehen on the old Gerlos road. The wonderful view over Oberpinzgau makes up for the effort of the ascent! Then continue leisurely past rustic farms. The steep descent into the Trattenbach Gorge is a highlight on the way to the Rechtegg inn. From here it goes towards the Stockenbaum inn and the Neuhaushof inn to the Neukirchen transmitter. Across meadows and paths it continues to the Mühlbach district.
We recommend returning by bus or train from Krimml or Mühlbach (from/to Vorderkrimml)!
