From the Krimmler Tauernhaus you hike to the end of the Krimmler Achental valley. On this path you pass several alpine pastures. Shortly after the Innerkees Alm, the hiking trail to the Warnsdorfer Hut branches off to the left. This managed shelter offers a good opportunity to stop for a break. From here, you have the possibility to climb the hut summit - the Gamsspitzl. From its peak, you have a wonderful view of the High Tauern. If you want to take it a bit easier, you reach the Eissee, an impressive glacier lake, about 15 minutes from the hut.
