The start of the well-known Tauern cycle route is situated near the largest waterfalls in Europe. From there you cycle the leisurely Achenwaldweg with gentle ascents and descents, running parallel to the Krimmler Ache, to Krimml Train Station. The route to Passau continues via Mittersill, Zell am See (where you choose between the variant along the Salzach or Saalach), then to Salzburg and onwards to Passau.
