One of Austria’s longest downhill valley runs! Boasting 1,930 metres of vertical drop, it offers pure, unadulterated skiing pleasure – and it can be skied in one run to boot! The Zell am Ziller valley descent is the piste with the greatest altitude difference in the whole of Austria and, therefore, the ‘HöhenFresser Tour’ – literally the ‘Height Devouring Tour’ – most certainly lives up to its name!
If you start at the highest point in the Arena – the ‘Übergangsjoch’ at an altitude of 2,500 metres – and ski all the way down to the valley then you cover an astounding almost 2,000 vertical metres over a distance of some 10 kilometres.
Tip: The Karspitzbahn cable-car in Zell takes you in just minutes to the legendary ‘Sport’ downhill run, which can most certainly be described as one of the finest runs in the Zillertal valley. With the Zell am Ziller valley run and the associated extension down to the valley, all sporty skiers are offered a very special treat.HoehenfresseTourIframe||||||||en|arena|winter|/en/arena/winter/laengste-talabfahrt.html||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||VideoPlayerAllgemein|full|ocSrC_PACr4||||||en|arena|winter|/en/arena/winter/laengste-talabfahrt.html||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
