Circular hike Ronach – Markkirchl – Ronach
Description
A scenic route from one valley to the next – to the Tyrol border with the small chapel called "Markkirchl".
The hike starts from Hotel Ronach/entrance gate Nadernachtal. From there along the Nadernachtal to the Nadernachjoch (2,100 m), where we cross the border to Tyrol. The descent leads to Markkirchl (1,983 m) and is a popular hiking destination inviting you to linger. Now the route goes back down the valley and outward; the source of the Salzach is located a bit above the hiking trail and would be a tip for another route. The Salzach hut invites you to stop for refreshment and offers regional specialties. Returning through the Salzach valley, this scenic route ends again at Hotel Ronach.
