Die Wanderung startet in Krimml beim Tourismusbüro und führt am Panoramahotel Burgeck vorbei. Durch einen schönen Fichtenwald kommt man über den Binderberg zur Gerlos Alpenstraße. In diesem Bereich geht es unter der Straße durch und anschließend weiter bergauf durch den Wald. Direkt beim Alpengasthof Filzstein in Hochkrimml endet dieser Weg.
