Krauspromenade (Rohrberg)A walking tour of 1.5 hours through the woods and along the river. Winter hiking shoes are recommended.
Atthe base station ofRosenalmbahn cable car- ZillertalArena on the right hand side theKrauspromenade (way no. 2) startsrising slightly. The promenade is namedafter the famoussinger Dr.Kraus. After about30 minutes on theshadyforest path you reach the Gerlosbergstrasse, there you turn right (down the valley) until you reach the Gerlosberg bridge.Afterthe bridge turn rightthroughthe Kaiserstadt and walk along theright side of the Gerlosbach river back to the startingpoint. Astachhof (Gerlosberg)A winter hiking tour of 2 hours along the Gerlostal valley with a beautiful view over the mountains. Also suitable for families with pushchairs. Getting to the starting point is possible by bus (Regiotaxi) or car. Lightweight hiking shoes are recommended.
By car or bus (Regiotaxi from the train station Zell am Ziller) to the station Gerlosberg - stop Erlach/Almhof. Along the asphalted road which is hardly used and mostly flat, then switchbacks to Astachhof. The sunny terrace and a cozy lounge invite you to stop. Some mountain farms with extremely steep meadows, some without road connections line the walking route. Return via the same path to the starting point.

Starting from the town square, walk up to just before the bridge, then to the right along the Zillerpromenade. Walk along the Ziller river until you reach the Gerlosbach river. After a few minutes you cross thebridgeandrightabove theRosenalmbahn/Zillertal Arenabegins the Krauspromenade (signs).At theend of the promenadedown the valleyto the GasthofWaldheim. Then on the left along the narrowasphalted roadto the smallsettlement.At the junctionturn right through theunderpass of theZillertal road. After approx.100 mlefttowardsTannerhof then alongthe field roadto theZillerpromenadeanddownstream(right) to thestarting point of the round trip.
