Gallery in the village / Art shop on the village square in Zell am Ziller (Gasthof Untermetzger) is the already 2nd art shop gallery opened by the Zillertal painter-sculptor. The Zillertal painter and sculptor Anton Franz Mair from Zell im Zillertal has always been fascinated by his home, the Tyrolean countryside and the old farms.

At the beginning of his artistic career, more or less drawings (coal and pencil) were in the foreground of his work. In the early 1970s, designs also began with oil paints. For natural and environmental reasons, he switches to acrylic and pigment (natural colours).
