The eventful circular trail begins at parking space 4 at the Krimml waterworld (1.029m). On hiking trail no. 19, you will first head out on a beautiful forest path and then arrive at some old tollhouses, the birthplace of the Salzburg freedom fighter, Anton Wallner, and an old farm house built in 1577. You will then reach the panoramic Hotel Burgeck (1.167m), where you can have a break on the beautiful terrace with a magnificent view of the Krimml waterfalls. The trail continues on path no. 15 to the repatriates cross, which was erected in 1964, and onwards to Falkenstein. You will then finally head uphill on hiking trail no. 20 in the direction of Krimml train station, walk for a short while along Bundesstraße, before heading over the Bräuerbrücke bridge to the idyllic Achenwald path. On hot days we recommend you take a healthy break to cool down in the natural Kneipp area. Parallel to the rippling Krimml Ache, you will head off on foot past the largest waterfalls in Europe and back to the starting point. The varied circular path can also be completed in individual sections. The Achenwald path is also easy to complete with prams and buggies.
