Directions to Krimml
The village Krimml-Hochkrimml is one of the west located municipality of Salzburg and the perfect entry into the Zillertal Arena. From the airports Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich you can easily reach us in 1.5 to 2.5 hours by car. If you prefer travelling more comfortable, you have the possibility to travel by train or by bus. With international trains to Zell am See, from there you can take regular busses and the Pinzgauer local railway to Krimml.

Travelling by car
from the north (DE, NL, BE, DK, PL, etc.)
Inntalautobahn (A12) as far as the Felbertauern exit - motorway vignette required - in the direction of Kitzbühel - Pass Thurn - Mittersill - Krimml/Hochkrimml, or Inntalautobahn (A12) as far as the Zillertal exit - in the direction of Zell am Ziller - Gerlos Pass - Krimml/Hochkrimml (motorway vignette required).
from the east (AT, CZ, SK, HU, etc.)
Tauernautobahn (A10) Vienna - Salzburg - Bischofshofen - Zell am See - Krimml/Hochkrimml (motorway vignette required).
from the west, southwest (IT, CH, FR etc.)
Inntalautobahn A12 Exit Zillertal - follow the direction to Zell am Ziller - Gerlospass - Krimml/ Hochkrimml (vignette required) or Inntalautobahn A12 Exit Wörgl Ost Kitzbühel Pass Thurn Mittersill Krimml/Hochkrimml

Please note:Tax sticker 'vignette' has been compulsory since 2013! Please note: Since 1 December 2013, it has also been compulsory to display a motorway sticker (vignette) for the section between the national border and Kufstein Süd.
There are particularly intensive vignette checks at the Kufstein Nord exit - travelling without a vignette can incur a fine of at least 120.00!

Try searching for the same journey on the Deutsche Bahn, on the Austrian national rail service or the Swiss Schweizer Bahn websites, and there may be a difference in the prices, so you could get yourself a bargain.
It is even possible to bag a so-called 'Sparpreis' reduced ticket online up to three days before your journey. The earlier you book the better! There are also many more offers to be found if you travel during the week in comparison to weekend travel.
Tips for families:
Young children ride for FREE up to one day before their sixth birthday with the Austrian Rail ÖBB standard ticket, children from six to fifteen years of age travel half price. Young children do not have to be listed on the ticket.
