The accessible mountain world of the Zillertal Arena

All information for wheelchair users, people with reduced mobility and pushchairs

The Zillertal Arena cable car operators are committed to providing access to mountain sports, both in summer and winter, for people with limited mobility. Our trained staff will be on hand to help to ensure that cable cars are as accessible as possible.

Zell am Ziller

  • Car park: Disabled parking available (P2)
  • Trip up with cable car: Accessible Rosenalmbahn - width of access 0.8 metres, help from staff with boarding and disembarking from the gondola
  • Eating out: Wiesenalm near Rosenalmbahn middle station
  • Wheelchair-accessible toilets: Top and bottom station of Rosenalmbahn, Wiesenalm (middle station) and Fichtensee lake
  • Summer activities:
    Enjoy refreshments at Wiesenalm with its sunny panorama terrace
    Rosenalm adventure world with its Spruce Tree Castle, Spruce Lake (“Fichtensee”) and alp loop can be reached by a hiking trail (partly forest road) that is suitable for buggies.
    Attention: Parts of the hiking trail are quite steep.
  • Discounts/prices: From 60 % disability, adults pay the youth rate, young adults pay the children’s rate and children travel free

Gerlos

  • Car park: Disabled parking available
  • Trip up with cable car: Accessible Isskogelbahn Gerlos – width of access 0.8 metres, help from staff with boarding and disembarking from the gondola
  • Eating out: Arena Center at Isskogelbahn top station
  • Wheelchair-accessible toilets: Isskogelbahn top and bottom station
  • Summer activities:
    Enjoy refreshments at the Arena Center with its sunny panorama terrace
    Latschenland Gerlos can be reached by a forest road, which is quite steep in places. It can be navigated with a pram, but is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Königsleiten

  • Car park: Disabled parking is available in the Dorfbahn car park
  • Trip up with cable car: Accessible Dorfbahn Königsleiten – width of access 0.8 metres, help from staff with boarding and disembarking from the gondola
  • Eating out: Gipfeltreffen at Dorfbahn top station
  • Wheelchair-accessible toilets: Dorfbahn bottom and top stations
  • Summer activities:
    Enjoy refreshments at Gipfeltreffen with its sunny panorama terrace
    Gipfelwelt Königsleiten with Kröndlwurmsee lake can be reached by a wide hiking trail, which is quite steep in places. It can be navigated with a pram, but is not suitable for wheelchairs.
