- GENERAL LOCKDOWN FROM NOVEMBER 22, 2021
From November 22nd, probably until December 12th, 2021 there will be a general lockdown for all people in Austria. The gastronomy, hotel, leisure facilities and retail sectors are closed. Afterwards, the lockdown will continue to apply to unvaccinated people (analogous to the 2G rule that has been in effect since November 8th). Due to the current lockdown to combat the pandemic, we are starting with a delay from Monday, December 13th in the ski season. In the meantime, the preparatory work for perfect winter sports conditions is going on. - FFP2 mask in all closed rooms, including at the workplace. Does not apply to children up to the age of six, children from the age of six to the age of 14 may wear mouth and nose protection.
- From November 8, 2021 the 2G rule (vaccinated / recovered) applies in Austria. Exception: the 3G rule remains at workplace.
- Proof of a low epidemiological risk (G-rules) according to the 2-G rule as an entry requirement for hotels, restaurants / night-time catering, body-hugging service providers, indoor leisure facilities (theaters, cinemas, vaudeville, cabarets, concert halls) and events as well as gatherings of 25 people or more. The obligation to submit proof does not apply to children up to the age of twelve.

- Current entry requirements for Austria
The updated entry regulations of the Austrian federal government stipulate that only PCR tests will be recognized for entry into Austria from November 22, 2021 (validity 72 hours) and that all antigen tests will lose their effectiveness. Excluded from the regulation are entries within the framework of closed commuter traffic for professional and family purposes, for schoolchildren and students as well as to visit a partner. Antigen tests continue to apply there (24 hours).

PCR gargle tests with laboratory evaluation are carried out. Lt. Tests prescribed by law are free of charge for holidaymakers with a guest card (no year-round guest card).

General rule & validity periods
Scope of application & exceptions to the 2G proof (vaccinated / recovered)
- The 2G rule applies to all people after the end of compulsory schooling
- This does not apply to people who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons
- All children under the age of twelve are excluded
- Austrian youths up to the age of 15 are excluded provided they have a valid “Ninja Pass” (school tests) with them
Transitional periods for the 2G proof (vaccinated / recovered)
- For guests who are already present in the accommodation facility when the new regulation comes into force, the "old" rules apply until the agreed departure
- For people who only have a primary vaccination, this will be gold-plated over the next four weeks in combination with a PCR test as 2G detection
3G proof workplace rule and exceptions
- The 3G rule generally applies at the workplace, and there is no mask requirement
- There is a transition period up to and including November 14th. During this period, an FFP2 mask can be worn for the entire working time instead of the 3G certificate
- For events of 250 people or more, the 2G rule also applies at the workplace
- For employees of discos, clubs, après-ski etc. (night gastronomy), the 2G rule also applies at the workplace
1G proof (vaccinated)
- Proof by means of immunisation passport, immunisation card, QR-Code (Green Pass) or print-out
- Green passport: This golden nun 9 months after the 2nd vaccination, after which a third vaccination (booster) is necessary. Johnson & Johnson gilds only until January 3rd, after which a booster vaccination is necessary for the vaccination certificate
- Valid vaccines: Comirnaty from the manufacturer BioNTech / Pfizer, Spikevax from the manufacturer Moderna, Vaxzevria from the manufacturer AstraZeneca and COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen from the manufacturer Janssen.
- German and English language documents in Latin script are permitted.

Der Verhaltenskodex der Zillertaler Seilbahnen wird aktualisiert, sobald die gesetzlichen Rahmenbedingungen für den Seilbahnbetrieb vorliegen.
2G-Regel (Geimpft/Genesen) in Seilbahnen
Für den Besuch in der Zillertal Arena benötigen Sie ergänzend zu Ihrem Skiticket einen gültigen 2G-Nachweis (geimpft oder genesen). In Österreich ist zudem eine FFP2-Maske in den geschlossenen Fahrbetriebsmitteln (Gondeln und Sesselbahnen mit Abdeckhaube) sowie in den Anstellbereichen und allen geschlossenen Räumen verpflichtend vorgeschrieben.
Wie Funktioniert der Ticketkauf?
Personen, die über einen 2G-Nachweis (geimpft oder genesen) verfügen, können ein Skiticket kaufen. Beim Ticketverkauf erfolgt die Verifizierung des 2G-Status (GreenCheck) an der Kassa der Bergbahn. An Personen, die über keinen 2G-Status verfügen und somit weder geimpft noch genesen sind, dürfen aktuell keine Tickets verkauft werden.
Regelung für Kinder
Kinder unter 12 Jahren sind von der Verpflichtung zur Vorlage des Nachweises einer geringen epidemiologischen Gefahr (kein 2G- oder 3G-Nachweis erforderlich) befreit. Bei in Österreich schulpflichtigen Kindern ab 12 Jahren gilt der Corona-Testpass („Ninja-Pass“) als 2G-Nachweis.
Regelung für Personen, die nicht geimpft werden dürfen
Die Verpflichtung zur Vorlage eines 2G-Nachweises gilt nicht für Personen, die nicht ohne Gefahr für Leben oder Gesundheit geimpft werden können. In solchen Fällen ist ein entsprechendes ärztliches Attest sowie ein Nachweis einer befugten Stelle über ein negatives Ergebnis eines molekularbiologischen Tests auf SARS-CoV-2, dessen Abnahme nicht mehr als 72 Stunden zurückliegen darf, vorzuweisen.

Accommodations & gastronomy

The same rules generally apply for après-ski as for night catering. General registration requirement for every visit.

Step plan
The Austrian federal government has drawn up a step plan for the winter. Depending on the level, different measures are planned for each area. The level 4 measures will come into force on November 8, 2021.
- Stage 1: Intensive care bed occupancy rate of 10% (200 beds), valid until 7th November 2021
- Stage 2: Intensive care bed occupancy rate of 15% (300 beds), valid from 8th November 2021
- Stage 3: Immediately after the intensive care bed occupancy rate of 20% has been exceeded (400 beds)
- Stage 4: Immediately after the intensive care bed occupancy rate of 25% has been exceeded (500 beds)
- Stage 5: Immediately after the intensive care bed occupancy rate of 30% has been exceeded (600 beds)
Suspected case of COVID-19: what should you do?
If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 (dry cough, temperature, shortness of breath, etc.) during your stay, you must call the Austrian emergency number 1450. You will then be given instructions and told what steps to take (for example testing, isolation, etc.); those instructions must be followed. You should also inform your accommodation provider and isolate if necessary.
For emergencies, please always call 144. Please tell the 144 operator that your symptoms could indicate a case of COVID-19. Under no circumstances should you go to the doctor’s if you suspect you have COVID-19.
Travel insurance
We recommend that visitors purchase COVID-19 travel insurance to ensure a stress-free holiday. “Hotel Cancellation Plus” travel insurance offered by our partner, the insurer Europäische Reiseversicherung ERV, is a cancellation and accident policy.
