The Almabtrieb in Gerlos has a long tradition and is one of the highlights in autumn every year. You can experience the Zillertal tradition up close. Because there will be an "Almabtrieb as it used to be", in which the cows will be bunched up and proudly return from the Alm on September 24, 2022 and can be seen along the Gerlos road.
Entertainment along the main street:
Performances by various well-known Zillertal music groups. The special highlight are the whip snappers with their Noriker horses, the "Fachtl-Trager" and much more.
The physical well-being is also well taken care of: with traditional Zillertal and Tyrolean specialties such as Zillertaler Krapfen and Melchermuas. The farmers offer schnapps, honey, cheese and bacon so that you can take some Memories of the Gerlos Almabtrieb home as an additional bonus.
