Almparadies Gerlosstein

There are many new attractions to discover on the Gerlosstein adventure mountain under the motto “back to the source”. You can enjoy spectacular nature during a gentle walk along the Almpromenade and also discover many interesting things on the way to the Zillertal Almtribüne viewing platform. From there you have a fabulous view across the entire Zillertal. A petting zoo and the large playground are great fun for the kids. But activity enthusiasts also get their money’s worth here: with the Almflieger Gerlosstein flying apparatus, you can fly at a speed of up to 50 km/h across the terrain.

Gerlosstein Alpine Via Ferrata
The most impressive rock face in the Ziller valley – the Gerlosstein rock face – can be ascended using a via ferrata route. It’s a perfect way for sports enthusiasts and climbers to enjoy this 400 metres route on this compact crag. A steel cable provides the required hold along the route. “If the equipment is operated correctly, nothing can go wrong” explains Gerhard Daum from the Zell am Ziller mountain rescue team. The first via ferrata route in the Ziller valley can also even be used by inexperienced guests although it has been classified as of intermediate difficulty. The starting point of the via ferrata is easily accessible using the Gerlosstein cable car.
