Idyllic alpine pastures, kilometers of hiking trails, vast meadows, and culinary delights – that's how the Zillertal Arena presents itself in summer with a wide range of offerings.

Idyllic alpine pastures, miles of hiking trails, wide meadows and culinary treats: in summer, the Zillertal Arena boasts a wide range of activities to suit all tastes. The Zillertal Arena stretches from Zell am Ziller and Gerlos on the Tyrolean side to Wald-Königsleiten and Krimml-Hochkrimml on the Salzburg side and features a 400 km network of hiking trails from Zillertal to Pinzgau. Whether you're looking for a multi-day mountain adventure, a challenging hike to the summit or an easy hike with the whole family – the region offers impressive hiking routes at all levels of difficulty. More than 40 rustic huts, charming snack stations and traditional mountain guesthouses beckon you to relax and enjoy local delicacies and regional products.

In Zell am Ziller, hiking tours around the Kreuzjoch area and on the Zillertaler Höhenstraße as delightful. While active guests can work off their energy among the magnificent mountain peaks, there is plenty for families to discover across the wide range of themed trails such as the Gerlosstein Almpromenade, the adventure trail in Gerlos or the Schmankerlweg (food trail) on the Rosenalm in Zell am Ziller. The yodelling trail starting at the Königsleiten cable car mountain station is a very special experience. There are eight lovely designed stations at which young and old can learn how to yodel along the way. By the end of the buggy-friendly hike, you will definitely be a pro yodeller!

Five side valleys stretch out from Gerlos, which make hiking in the area an unique experience. On your hikes, you will be flanked by crystal clear, gently babbling brooks all the way to the end of the valley. Picturesque surroundings also await you in the Krimmler Achental, a high valley in the Hohe Tauern National Park. After the last waterfall of Krimml Waterfalls, the path becomes flat and beautiful alpine meadows spread out in front of you.
