Winter Hiking - The Krummbachtal
This tour could also be named the ‘snack tour’ as you have the opportunity to visit 3 Alpine huts with refreshments. Past Isskogel valley station you walk along the road beside Gerlosbach stream to the Gerlos toboggan track. From here the road goes left up the mountain to Gasthof Almstüberl with its wonderful, panoramic view into Schönachtal Valley. Following the path onwards you cross the Krummbach descent and walk on, taking the Güterweg path, to the fork at "Prölleralm". Taking the left-hand path you can reach the traditional ski hut with its large sun terrace after climbing for about 20 minutes. If you continue on the path along the stream you will reach the Krummbachrast snack-bar after another 30 minutes (own cheese products).
